  • Ethiopia Guji

    •  Tasting Notes: Blueberry & Strawberry with a delicious balanced finish.
    • Roast Level: Light

    • Guji coffee has been receiving a lot of attention from the specialty coffee world in the past several years, and for good reason.  Many privately owned washing stations have sprung up recently, in an area that has traditionally processed coffee using a natural (dry) method.  The quality of these washed coffees can be outstanding, which isn’t surprising considering the area’s close proximity to Yirgacheffe.  “Close” is relative in terms of travel in Ethiopia where 100 km can mean a 10 hour drive, silver lining being the incredible variety of terrain and culture relatively short distances.

Exactly What I was Looking For!

I was blown away by the Ethiopia Guji. This coffee is everything I love in a light roast. From the very first sip, the vibrant blueberry and strawberry notes shine through, balanced beautifully by a smooth, clean finish. It’s incredibly well-crafted, with that bright, fruity complexity you’d expect from top-tier Ethiopian beans.

You can taste the care and quality in every cup. The light roast really lets the origin shine, and it’s clear why Guji is gaining so much recognition in the specialty coffee world. Highly recommend and I will definitely be ordering more!

    Hopefully my first of many!

I’m always on the lookout for high altitude coffee. You are the 3rd supplier I have found following Bean Box and Barrington. For me the coffee from this region of Ethiopia is a perfect fit. Needless to say this may be the start of a long standing friendship.
    Respectfully,

A lovely spring and summer coffee!

I’ve been enjoying this one a lot! It’s very fruit forward with notes of blueberries and strawberry coming through in a very clear way. It’s very sweet with a strawberry like acidity. Really enjoying this one a lot!

    Loved this Ethiopian bean

We are enjoying this coffee in particular. I found it to be more on the medium roast side. Or at least the is the level of medium I really enjoy.

    Great flavor

Fruity/flower smell, medium low bitterness and acidity. My daily coffee for over 3 years.
