The sweet cocoa and caramel nose leads into a medium-bodied cup, transitioning through the palate building more structure along the way. It leads to a refined, nutty finish with mild baking chocolate and coffee caramel.
We crafted this blend with Three coffees from Southeast Brazil in a very prominent region called Carmo de Minas. Caffe Lusso has been purchasing these coffees directly from one family since the 2008 harvest. This family oversees the two very different farms that produce the 3 distinct coffees we use for this single origin blend. One of the estates, Canaan, provides a full-natural processed bean that gives caramel notes and a nice mouthfeel, while the other, Condado, is a pulped-natural preparation that contributes some lighter and brighter character, as well as the sweetness. Also from the Condado Estate is the third coffee we use, Peaberry. As these coffees are from a lower grown elevation of around 3,300 ft, the blend is naturally lower in acidity. Many have discovered not only does it make a lovely espresso, but a great French press as well.
