  • Gran Miscela Carmo Espresso Blend

    • Tasting Notes: Milk Chocolate & Caramel

      Roast Level: Medium

The Gran Miscela Carmo Espresso Blend® is composed of three coffees from the Carmo de Minas region in Southeast Brazil, a hidden gem gaining prominence. Each coffee in this blend comes from a different family we formed a direct relationship with starting in 2008.

Pulling notes of caramel from the Canaan Estate and roasted nuts from the Condado Estate, this sumptuous blend is crafted atop a foundation of a chocolatey Peaberry coffee. The balance and complexity are best highlighted as espresso, particularly when enjoyed as a cappuccino, latte, or americano.

    Gran Miscela Carmo is grand

After years of honing my coffee taste bud , thru the Starbucks years, the Tully's, the Mercury's, finally a coffee that doesn't insult my mouth, but rather says good morning my love, time to rise and enjoy the start of another beautiful day.

    Sublime coffee

Long time subscriber here. This is the quintessential espresso bean. Tasting notes are spot on. Beans are consistent and delivered fresh. After dialing in my bean preference (much trial and error) I will never look elsewhere. Thank you CL! And the new packaging is *chef’s kiss*.

I am using a LaMarzocco Linea Mini with variable pressure pump modification and a Kafatec Max so I’m pretty “invested” or as my family likes to say “nuts”. Anyway, they change their tune when I pull thick rich crema crowd pleasing espresso shots using Caffe Lusso beans. Both this and Lionshare are top shelf. This one is more traditional and Lionshare is slightly sweeter. I have probably purchased beans from 50 different local roasters to around the US and even Japan. These are in my top 5 rotation. BTW - AI made that sign for me after I gave it the used to use blue agate.

    Pulls great shots

Good crema, pulls easy. A little bit of aftter taste, but not sour which is good.
